    Plan de Negocio para potenciar el Laboratorio de Ingeniería Industrial, en la fabricación de muebles de madera; vinculación entre las Mipymes de la ciudad y la Universidad de Cuenca

    The Ecuadorian wood industry plays an important role in the national economy, with the manufacture of wood furniture being driven by the growth of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (Mipymes) in Cuenca, where 60% of national production is concentrated. In this context, this research evaluated the feasibility of a business plan for the Industrial Engineering Laboratory "INDULAB" of the Universidad de Cuenca, with the purpose of establishing links with the sector's stakeholders. A literature review was carried out to identify the challenges of the industry, adapting the structure of a specific business plan for the new commercial activity. The plan includes a detailed description of the business, marketing strategies, technical analysis, study of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT), and financial evaluation. It focuses on achieving the self-sustainability of the laboratory through the proposed plan and establishes a value chain to guide the operation of the new business. The result of the research is a business plan that seeks to strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs in the wood industry, encouraging collaboration with academia and providing new opportunities for the development of innovative and sustainable solutions in the industrial field.
