    This research with a non-experimental design presents a bibliographic analysis guided by a qualitative - quantitative approach in order to find the relationship that exists thermal stress and its influence on the work environment in the baking industry, in turn the prevention and control measures for the mitigation of heat stress, this specifically for the production area, which is where the most heat is generated in this industry. Starting from the SPEARMAN relationship coefficient with which two variables can be associated, in this case thermal stress and its influence on the work environment in a non-parametric statistical test. The application of the Anova statistical method determined the relationship that exists between their means and was able to see that they do not have significant differences between them, this defined the relationship between thermal stress and the work environment within the production area in the baking industry. The research shows that in the vast majority of bakeries from which data was obtained there is some type of risk of thermal stress since they exceed the temperature limits at which people feel thermal comfort. At the same time, an air conditioning system was executed within the production area through ventilation ducts in order to obtain the required comfort temperature.

    Diseño de un nuevo modelo de selección de mantenimiento

    Maintenance is an essential area within a production process. Therefore, designing new selection models for maintenance is necessary. The model proposed in this work includes a new dimension, the economicfactor, by at the same time integrating other dimensions based on current models, thus fitting the reality of organizations. The development of the new model started with the analysis of two of the most popular models, FMEA (FAILURE MODE AND EFFECTS ANALYSIS) and RCM (RELIABILITY CENTRED MAINTENANCE), analyzing their variables and prioritizing them.Results of this analysis, a criticality analysisdimension arises. One of the main objectives was the approach to the organizational reality, thus the dimension size of the organization is incorporated. The methodology for each dimension was: for criticality analysis, methodology points, for the dimension size of the organization took the organizational criterion and economic dimension for an explanatory chart was used for further analysis. Each of the three dimensions was assessed with the most appropriate methodology in each case. The result of the analysis gave rise to new maintenance model selection which can be easily adopted in companies.

    The industrial maintenance has been modified as the years have passed an inspection process to what we know today as maintenance as such. Maintaining a company is a required process to be followed with responsibility and discipline. This allows us to avoid unexpected failure of equipment and manufacturing process and cost savings. The successful maintenance company allows an optimization of resources, improve the mastery of costs, have uniform procedures , monitoring of machine breakdowns and more homogeneous , better personnel management, delegation of responsibility to the Heads of areas , Improving Relations production , more efficiency and speed of execution of work , better communication and integration of multi-skilled teams . Based on all bounded, is to implement a preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance in the areas of engineering workshops, copperware and wash through a database, attesting in all mobile and fixed computer with their respective specifications , description equipment , manual, respective maintenance to perform either daily, monthly or quarterly , which are required by the Ministry of Labour Relations. ( MRL. ) . This database shall contain the suppliers responsible for supplying spare parts, the technician shall perform the maintenance, technical training to be given to modifying the equipment and the chiefs in charge of verifying each of the teams.

    Diseño, desarrollo y elaboración de un manual de funcionamiento y una guía de laboratorio para ensayos mecánicos utilizando la máquina universal Autograph AGX-V2 modelo 300 KN

    The project focuses on the creation of an operational manual and guides for the Autograph AGX-V2 model 300 KN Universal Testing Machine, designed to conduct mechanical tests such as tension, compression, and bending on various materials. Since the machine is a recent addition to the industrial engineering laboratory, the primary focus is on the importance of having precise procedures to ensure the validity and consistency of results in mechanical testing, enabling students and professionals to operate the machine effectively and safely. The tests were developed based on bibliographic research, where applicable procedures and standards were determined according to the type of test and material. It also incorporates standards such as ISO/IEC 17025, which establishes requirements for testing and calibration laboratories, ensuring an adequate quality management system. Additionally, this project describes the operational manual for the machine and the testing guides, which provide detailed guidance for sample preparation, machine configuration, and data collection and analysis, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the mechanical properties of the evaluated materials. Thus, the implementation of the guides aims not only to facilitate the performance of mechanical tests but also to enhance academic training in engineering and materials science, fostering a practical learning environment. Through the validation of procedures, it is expected to elevate the quality of the tests conducted, striving to standardize and improve laboratory practices, contributing to both education and industry.

    Estudio de factibilidad de sistemas AGV, y brazos robóticos para el sistema de almacenamiento y transporte de planta común Continental Tire Andina

    Industry 4.0 has emerged as a new technological generation for productive systems, including simulation and robots as continuous improvement tools. The need of continuous improvement has involved to manufactures with the aim of optimizing resources. This research aims to generate an innovative environment through simulation processes by comparing variables with statistic data, and costs from the storage and transportation system of Continental Tire Andina. Research analysis has started with the workgroups from the SM35 and Triplex machines by tracing operator’s activities and timing, during eight hours. This data has been essential for examining and imitating the current productive system with FlexSim. Once results are acquired; they have been analyzed, and measures have been evaluated with the new workgroups, which incorporate AGV and two robotic arms. Working with this equipment has led to a successful adjustment of the simulated setting. According to these results, costs and financial indicators for the project have been feasible. By means of simulation positive outcomes have been obtained with an increasing percentage of 3,32% and 13,83% from the two machines. Alternately, financial indicators as Net Present Value and Internal Rate Return have been shown genuinely beneficial for future perspectives, presenting positive numbers. Furthermore, the internal return rate has been higher than the discount rate. Costs have been reflected as an increasing productive system, and monetary value based on simulation.

    This thesis aims to address theoretical and practical factors general and specific risks in each of the jobs Montes Alpha Internacional S.A approached from a conception of Occupational Safety and Health, considering humans the reason for the company. For the identification and evaluation of risk factors at work are taken into account national and international standards and the measurements were performed in the source work through teams, checklists, methods of analysis and direct observations. Risk factors for physical, mechanical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, psychosocial derived from activity of the company, have been classified according to the likelihood, severity and risk damage vulnerability moderate, major and intolerable. Stating that important risk factors must be controlled and minimized the short and medium term and intolerable risk factors should be controlled and / or eliminated in the short term and in full by corrective actions in the following order of priority at the source, in the transmission medium and the individual, proposing appropriate control measures.

    The following thesis contains necessary to design the Technical Industrial Safety Management guidelines, which is a member of the Audit System Risk at Work "SART"; is aimed at all areas of production and winery within the company TALLER TENESACA Cia. Ltda., and provides the support and knowledge of safety parameters set by the IESS for a safe work environment . Chapter I develops the overview of the company and by the objectives must include the problem within the company, which is the lack of a Safety Committee, absence of an Internal Security, there is no with a method of safe production, lack of legal regulations regarding security in the country and the absence of standards, technical and security features within the company TALLER TENESACA Cia. Ltda. Moreover in Chapter II develops the theoretical framework of the project, where all the necessary skills are presented to give a solution to the problem, which are developed based on the Independent Variable is the Technical Management of Industrial Safety and Variable dependent is the Prevention of Accidents and Diseases. In Chapter III , analysis, diagnosis of health and safety in the business, is performed to evaluate all risks in the same and thus reach a clear basis pursued in the studio for the operation of the System Safety and Health at Work , framing the model given by the Technical risk Management Labour IESS contemplating the five points : 1) Identification of risk factors , 2 ) measurement of risk factors, 3) evaluation of risk factors, 4) comprehensive operational control , 5) Environmental Monitoring and Health . In Chapter IV a study of the Personal Protective Equipment that each person should have his post as work is performed, and finally in Chapter V concludes with a Technical Study - Financial to TALLER TENESACA Cia. Ltda., with in order to find the necessary resources for the implementation of the Technical Management.
