Item Impacto de la educación financiera en la mitigación de sesgos conductuales en emprendedores sociales(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-06-16) Flores Guapisaca, Max David; Aguirre Quezada, Juan CarlosFinancial decisions in social entrepreneurship combine social impact and economic viability. Without financial education, behavioral biases affect sustainability. The general objective of this study is: To analyze the impact of financial education on the mitigation of behavioral biases and their incidence on the financial decision-making of social entrepreneurs in the period 2023 in the canton of Cuenca. The methodology was based on a quantitative approach, descriptive and explanatory scope, as well as non-experimental and crosssectional design. The sample consisted of 176 IEPS social enterprises in the canton of Cuenca, and the instrument used was a questionnaire divided into three sections with 53 multiple choice questions and a Likert scale; on the other hand, a structural equation model was used to determine the relationship between the variables of behavioral biases and financial education. Social entrepreneurs face behavioral biases, such as procrastination (M=4.19) and loss aversión (M=3.77), which limit innovation and effective financial decisions. Regarding the impact of financial education in mitigating behavioral biases that affect social entrepreneurs' financial decision-making, financial education mitigates biases such as status quo, procrastination and loss aversion, promoting self-control and self-reflection in social entrepreneurs. Although it reduces general biases, it does not eliminate the entrepreneur fallacy or significantly impact social entrepreneurship. It is concluded that social entrepreneurs face biases such as procrastination, loss aversion and entrepreneur fallacy, limiting rational decisions.Item Sesgos conductuales y su influencia en las decisiones financieras de endeudamiento de los emprendimientos sociales de la ciudad de Cuenca(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-06-25) Tigre Loja, María Gabriela; Aguirre Quezada, Juan CarlosEcuador is the Latin American country with the highest rate of business creation, according to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, standing out for its dynamic entrepreneurial activity, but it is important to overcome regulatory and institutional obstacles to promote entrepreneurship. The research project aims to analyze behavioral biases and their influence on the financial borrowing decisions of social enterprises in the city of Cuenca. The study of this project is of a descriptive-correlational type with a cross-section, through the ap- plication of the System of Structural Equations (SSE) from the partial least squares model (PLS SEM) using SmartPLS 4. The sample size was determined based on the simple random sampling formula, considering a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error, with a sample of 177 social entrepreneurs. The results showed that the most relevant biases were: procrastination, status quo and loss aversion. The application of the MES model showed that these biases explain 53% of the variance in borrowing decisions, highlighting a significant impact.
