Item Conocimientos, actitudes y practicas sobre destete en las madres que acuden al Centro de Salud Carlos Elizalde. Cuenca, 2015(2015) González Castillo, Miryam Marlene; Rivera SanMartin, María Isabel; Santacruz Jeréz, Nube Rocío; Cárdenas Guamán, Martha María; Aguilar Pesántez, Martha MaríaBACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to analyze and identify the level of knowledge, attitudes, habits, and practices exhibited by those mothers capable of achieving weaning in their children lower 2 years old. “Based on previous studies related to this particular subject, there have been numerous practices in existence implemented by mothers choosing to wean their children from breastfeeding. Techniques have included gradual and abrupt methods for weaning their children, with some results that can ultimately impact the growth and development in their children”. OVERALL OBJECTIVE: Determine the level of knowledge, attitude, and weaning practices demonstrated by those mothers currently visiting Health Center Carlos Elizalde in the children lower 2 year old. Cuenca, 2015. METHODOLOGY This investigation will be quantitative in nature and will incorporate exploratory research, simply descriptive analysis, and universal applications. The sampling method will focus on 600 mothers who have received services from the Carlos Elizalde Health Center over the past three months. Out of this large group a sample size of 86 mothers will be selected as the focus of the study and will be administered a technical questionnaire consisting of a total of 21 questions. Their responses to the questionnaire will be analyzed and properly documented utilizing Microsoft Office Excel and an additional program called SPSS version 21. The results will be presented by applying relevant statistical analysis in order to determine whether or not they’re to be considered statistically significant. Additionally, graphs and diagrams will aid in the different variables. Cuenca, 2015(2015) Maita Juela, Marcia Verónica; Loja Caguana, Ana Lucía; Lupercio Ramón, Rosa Leonila; Aguilar Pesántez, Martha María; Montaño Peralta, Bertha SorayaBACKGROUND: Acordina to the WHO, youth is regarded an age stage between ages ten and nineteen years old. Throughout this stage several changes take place, curiosity stage this leads to be vulnerable to alcohol causing damage to the teenager. As pointed out by INEC, 912.576 people drink alcoholic beverages in Ecuador in 2012; out of this total number 89.7 % consists of men, while 10.3% is comprised of women. It is important to note that 2.5% involves minors. OBJECTIVE: Identifying the factors that have an influence upon alcohol consumption of adolescents between ages 15 and 18 years old from Unidad Educativa Fiscal “Francisco Febres Cordero” in the city of Cuenca in 2015. STUDY RESULTS: The present research project was conducted to 185 students it was found out that 63%, men, whereas 37% female gender. The percentages for the reasons behind alcohol consumption vary as a result of these different factors: according to the individual factor 25% drinks alcohol as a way of entertainment. Within the family factor, 65 reported that there is one person in their families who drinks alcohol. Based on the social factor, 78 mentioned that they obtained alcoholic beverages without any difficulty. Lastly, the economic factor indicates that 12% of families make a salary below the minimal one. METHODOLOGY: This study employed a descriptive-quantitative research approach, and the population under investigation was 223 students with a sample consisting of 185. The technique used is the application of personalized surveys. The gathered data were analyzed and tabulated by using these programs: Excel and Microsoft Office Word. And the study results are presented in tables, along with frequencies and percentages.
