    Actualización del inventario de recursos turísticos en la parroquia San Pablo de Shaglli, del cantón Santa Isabel y propuesta de una nueva ruta turística

    Currently, Tourism shows potential through different typologies, thus contributing to development and well-being in different regions of Ecuador. Therefore, since tourism is in the rural areas, it has improved the economy of its population, having some attractive resources for tourists. This demands the existence of an updated inventory of touristic resources and a route duly specified. Under this perspective, San Pablo de Shaglli parish, in Santa Isabel canton has the need to develop its tourism, therefore, it is necessary to update the inventory of touristic resources, and the proposal of a new touristic route by means of analyzing the touristic background of the parish. This work is aimed to provide the parish with an updated resource inventory with its more relevant characteristics and a new route to facilitate routes for tourists.

    Análisis del perfil del turista que usa el City Tour panorámico en el bus de dos pisos, caso empresa VanService Internacional

    With the passing of the years tourism has become one of the greatest activities developed by the man who generates greater incomes and greater cultural knowledge around the world; every day the trend of leisure is increasing. People of different nationalities choose different destinations attached to their tastes and preferences. One of the most desired international destinations in our country is Cuenca, a city declared World Cultural Heritage by all its cultural, humanistic, landscape, and architectural diversity which is important for the tourists. One of the most important factors when choosing a destination is the quality of services received by the people who contribute to the development of a country. For this reason, it is vital to know the profile of tourists in order to know their likes and dislikes. The initiative that people from Cuenca have created several spaces and tourist services to increase activities to developed their own economic increase. Therefore, a panoramic city tour on the double-decker bus of the company VanService international will be analyzed to look up for weaknesses and strengths of the company. Consequntly, is essential to analyze the profile of tourists who choose the panoramic city tour as one of their activities to visit Cuenca, and can thus meet their needs and recognize their motivations in this way increased the quality of the service. The above analysis was carried out through the use of quantitative research techniques using the technique of surveys based on a sample of users from the panoramic city tour.

    Análisis del potencial para el desarrollo de turismo de Salud en sector Pumamaqui

    The Baños parish is located 8km away from Cuenca canton; which has interesting cultural and natural resources, highlighting the thermal springs that provide multiple health benefits. However, the thermal springs of Pumamaqui is unknown, it is located north of the parish at 45 minutes via Soldados. These thermal waters are in a natural state and surrounded by little-disturbed nature, which has generated greater interest for visitors due to the tranquility and purity of its waters. Reason for which they have tried to take advantage of this resource for the development of the tourist activity. For this reason, in the present academic essay it is necessary to carry out the analysis of the tourist potential in order to publicize the health benefits and generate sources of income for the inhabitants of the Pumamaqui sector. One of the objectives is to determine the profile of the tourist as well as to propose strategies and activities for the tourist promotion of the sector.

    Perfil del jubilado residencial en la ciudad del Cuenca

    The city of Cuenca has been classified by different means as a leading destination likewise, it has-been declared as one of the best places to live or retire, this phenomenon began in 2007 which includes mobilization retire or those people close to do so. Since 2012 this phenomenon has become more obvious due to the rising figures that support the arrival of foreigners in the city of Cuenca. The realization of this essay aims to know the retire’s profile resident who has chosen to dwell in the city of Cuenca, and also the impact generated in different aspects as social, demographic, among others. As a starting point could collect basic concepts, which will allow to have a clear idea of the approach of this research. In order to get truthful information and avoid subjectivity, qualitative and quantitative tools were handling, it was made through personal interviews to people with business-oriented to this type of target and surveys to residents of the city respectively. As a final result is established that the majority of residents in the city of Cuenca are U.S. citizens, having a university education and who are looking for a quiet place to rest, its friendly people, good weather and the main reason the low cost of living.
