Item Parasitosis y factores de riesgo asociados en niños menores de 2 años de edad que acuden a la consulta externa de la Fundación Pablo Jaramillo. Marzo-Agosto 2014.(2015) Acosta Buni, Ruth Alicia; Jadán Cumbe, Andrea Marcela; Garzón Orellana, Paul Armando; Mejía Chicaiza, Jorge Victoriano; Sacoto Molina, Adrián MauricioIntroduction The intestinal parasitosis is a public health problem because of the high prevalence showing because it can cause irreversible damage to their growth and development at an early age. Objective: To determine the prevalence of parasitism and associated risk factors in children under two years of age a of stools were performed in the outpatient clinic of Pablo Jaramillo Foundation. Materials and Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study in children under two years treated at outpatient at the Foundation, data from digital medical records was obtained, the universe formed all children under two years attending the pediatric outpatient one of stools were performed your analysis using SPSS 12.0 software using statistics such as percentages, averages and CHI square measures. Results: 259 was obtained with positive test coproprasitario corresponding to 51.8%, the average age of 9-12 months the Amoeba histolytica vegetative dominance with 43.2%, 54.4% are mixed fed until 6 months of age, complementary feeding, feeding type, age, sex and education of the mother who was found as a possible precipitating to acquire a enteroparasitosis at this age. Conclusion: The study concluded that the frequency of occurrence of parasites at this age is high and amebiasis is the most frequent pathology, being necessary to the implementation of good hygiene practices and tailored education on the environment.
