dc.description | El parque nacional Cotopaxi constituye uno de los destinos turísticos más visitados a nivel nacional, su biodiversidad e infraestructura atraen a miles de visitantes. En el año 2019 fue la cuarta área más visitada del país, sin embargo, con la llegada de la pandemia por Covid-19 en marzo de 2020 se vio en la necesidad de cerrar sus puertas a los turistas por un período indefinido. Por tal motivo, las autoridades y los principales actores turísticos del parque se vieron en la necesidad de buscar e implementar estrategias que ayudarán a la progresiva reactivación turística, siendo estas mismas estrategias necesarias para continuar con el turismo. Por lo tanto, la finalidad de este proyecto de investigación es analizar el proceso de reactivación de turismo del parque nacional Cotopaxi ante el acontecimiento de la pandemia en el periodo marzo 2020 - marzo 2021, mediante un enfoque cualitativo con alcance descriptivo y la creación de redes para llegar a los resultados que evidenciaron si las medidas implementadas sirvieron para reactivar el turismo en el parque o si se deben tomar otras estrategias, además para analizar las percepciones de los actores turísticos en relación a las medidas tomadas para dicha reactivación. dc.description.abstract | Cotopaxi National Park is one of the most visited references of nature tourism nationwide, attracting visitors for its variety of natural attractions. In 2019 it was the fourth most visited area in the country, however, with the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020 it was forced to close its doors to tourists for an indefinite period. For this reason, the authorities and the main tourist actors of the park encountered the need to seek and implement strategies that will help the progressive reactivation of tourism, these same strategies being necessary to continue with tourism. Therefore, the purpose of this research project is to analyze the process of reactivation of tourism in the Cotopaxi National Park in the face of the event of the pandemic in the period March 2020 - March 2021, through a qualitative approach with descriptive scope and the creation of networks to reach the results that showed if the measures implemented served to reactivate tourism in the park or if other strategies should be taken, also to analyze the perceptions of tourism actors in relation to the measures taken for this reactivation.
