| en_US |

Currently, tourism companies – hotels seek integration between tourists, the community and the environment in order to develop measures or practices that help reduce the environmental impact produced by irresponsible human activities through responsible tourism with the ecosystem. This graduation project will be carried out a comparative study of good practices of sustainable tourism carried out by the Santa Monica and Selina hotels in the city of Cuenca in order to know the current situation that these two hotels have in front of sustainability and the impact that their tourist activity has on the community and on the environment. Following this, an analysis of the biosecurity protocols that have been implemented by hotels due to COVID-19 will be carried out. Finally, a proposal will be established based on the Guide of good sustainable practices version 2005 of the Rainforest Alliance whose objective will be that the hotels carry out a sustainable management obtaining their own benefits and for community without harming the environment where they are developed. | en_US |
