| Abstract: | At the present time, internet has a huge amount of learning objects (LO), which are available and stored in repositories (LOR). These LO include metadata which describe their characteristics and they are define by a kind of standard like Dublin Core. They provide the benefits of reuse without the need to invest a lot of money. And this is the root of the importance, especially in the current educational system which has mostly an online trend. On the other hand, the semantic web has become in one of the most recent activities oriented to the web development. It uses ontologies to define concepts and relationships between entities or types in a formal way. Furthermore, there are specific ontologies for the LO management, such as LOM2OWL. However, the main problem is that LO are not described in an ontology, they are purely syntactic which limit their use in the semantic field. In order, LO can be described semantically, they must be described and populated in an ontology. This populated process involves to take and represent manually, semi-automatic or automatic individuals, types, relationships, and properties values. The objective of this project is the development of LO entry process through semantic technology, implementing a semi-automatic process. | Description: | Actualmente internet dispone de una inmensa cantidad de Objetos de Aprendizaje (OA) almacenados y disponibles en repositorios (ROA). Estos OA contienen metadatos que describen sus características y están definidos bajo algún estándar, como Dublin Core. Estos brindan los beneficios de la reutilización sin tener que invertir grandes costos, y es ahí donde radica su importancia, especialmente dentro del campo de la educación actual, la cual tiene una tendencia mayormente virtual. Por otro lado, la web semántica se ha convertido en una de las actividades más recientes en los desarrollos orientados a la web. Utiliza ontologías para definir de manera formal conceptos y relaciones entre entidades o clases. Además, existen ontologías específicas para el manejo de OA, como por ejemplo LOM2OWL. Sin embargo, el problema principal es que los OA al no estar descritos en una ontología, son netamente sintácticos, lo que limita su utilización dentro de un campo semántico, y para que los OA estén descritos semánticamente deben estar descritos y poblados en una ontología. Este proceso de poblado consiste en extraer y representar, de manera manual, semiautomática o automática los individuos, las clases, las relaciones y los valores de las propiedades. El objetivo del presente proyecto es el desarrollo de un proceso de anotación de OA mediante tecnologías semánticas, implementando un proceso semiautomático, que reduce el número de pasos y por ende el tiempo de dicho proceso.
