Estilos educativos en madres adolescentes

Abstract

It‟s a study of 89 mothers with 21-26 years old, age range, conceived in adolescence when they were between 14 and 20 years, representatives of their sons / daughters sophomores Basic Education in Cuenca city schools. This population was extracted research “Family Styles Education in Cuenca city”. The objectives are to determine the educational styles that mothers have for raising their sons and daughters, from Diana Baumrind „theory (1967, 1971) from family type; and determine whether there are others who help to care for the child and daughter. We used factor analysis, using principal component grouping the variables into 3 components (permissive , authoritarian and democratic ) by Cluster analysis it was found that 69 mothers do not have a definite style , 10 mothers are located in a permissive style 9 style authoritarian and democratic style one mother Regarding the family type, mothers with don‟t define styles by mothers, permissive, authoritarian are located mostly in nuclear families. The others are located in single-parent mothers, generational families, and support families in the permissive style in single and generational families. In the authoritarian style are in single-parent and stepparent families. Finally: the democratic style with a single-parent family type. Partially mothers say than they have received help in raising their children / as their parents or in-laws.
