Factores asociados a la experiencia del orgasmo en mujeres atendidas en el Hospital Municipal Materno Infantil de la Mujer y el Niño de la ciudad de Cuenca en el año 2022

Abstract

Objectives: to determine the factors that are associated the orgasmic experience in women treated at the Municipal Maternal and Child Hospital for Women and Children in the city of Cuenca in the year 2022. Methods: This is a quantitative analytical cross-sectional study. The sample consisted of 254 women aged between 18 and 60 years. The data was collected with the validated questionnaire "Orgasms Rating Scale, (ORS)" and another for sociodemographic variables. For the analysis of the information, the SPSS version 25 program was used. Results: the average age of the participants was 34.50 years. For the affective experience of orgasm with the partner, the users perceived the experience as satisfactory in 81.5% of the cases. The level of education < third level, was a factor that increased the appreciation in an inadequate and significant way the cognitive-affective dimension of the orgasmic experience (OR 1.7; CI 95% 1.01 - 2.85; p = 0, 04); likewise, the evangelical/Jehovah witness/Christian religion, but without statistical significance (OR = 2.13; CI95% = 0.96 - 4.72; p = 0.05). The education < third level and the evangelical/Jehovah’switness/Christian region were factors that increased, in a non- significant way, the negative perception of the sensory dimension (OR 1.5; CI95% 0.83 - 2.59; p= 1,17). Conclusions: the perception of the affective experience of orgasm was simply considered satisfactory and the factors that negatively influenced were the educational level <third level and religion other than Catholic.
