Análisis de las acciones del personaje spider-man en el cine a partir de la ética formal

Abstract

This research work was aimed at analyzing the actions of the character SpiderMan in the film trilogy directed by Sam Raimi, in relation to the philosophical postulates of formal ethics proposed by Immanuel Kant. We proceeded to use the documentary technique, through literature review and content analysis, to analyze the principles of formal ethics in the formation of the superhero character, particularly with Spider-Man. Also, the supervillain characters of the Green Goblin and Dr. Octopus are analyzed, as well as the affectations in behaviors caused by the symbiote. The proposals of hedonism, utilitarianism and stoicism were analyzed in the behaviors of the supervillains in their eagerness to eliminate Spider-Man, affecting the citizens of New York City. This study allowed to fully understand the ethical and moral approaches transmitted in the popular film trilogy directed by Sam Raimi; finding that the main characteristic in the superhero's actions, according to formal ethics, is "by duty" rather than "according to duty", because acting by duty means autonomy, freedom and good will
