Construcción de una secuencia de movimientos a partir del personaje Diablo Mayor en el ejercicio escénico “Diablo de Hojalata”

Abstract

The creation of a character with his own life, with qualities that emerged from his own history, is reconstructed inspired by the story “The Tin Devil” from the city of Riobamba, one of the most valued and iconic historical characters in the daily life of Riobamba citizens. , belonging to the “Children's Passes”, a tradition remembered through the years. The creation of this character has been carried out throughout the creative processes developed in the Chair of Scenic Laboratory I, II and III, with the aim of giving life to a figure that is currently seen as a result of the tradition and beliefs of the local popular culture, which seeks the appreciation and dissemination of this character, together with the pertinent scenic tools. This character creation process is based on a sequence of movements based on the character Diablo Mayor, in the stage exercise “Diablo de Tin”; for to achieve this, different scenic tools were used, among the main ones are the five rhythms according to Gabrielle Roth and the theatrical anthropology of the theater director Eugenio Barba, with the aim of analyzing and systematizing the concepts for the construction of the character of the play.
