Abstract
This paper aims to reveal the cinematic potential of sequence shot and publicize their narrative qualities. This research collects various theories about the narrative power of the sequence shot and the conclusions obtained after testing them. Therefore, this investigarion is useful for filmmakers seeking to exploit the potential of film language. Practical tools of this research were applied in the first chapter of the TV series Sudden Death, where audiovisual work made use of sequence shot.
Resumen
Esta monografía tiene como finalidad revelar el potencial cinematográfico del plano secuencia y dar a conocer sus cualidades narrativas. Esta investigación recoge varios puntos de vista sobre el poder narrativo del plano secuencia y las conclusiones obtenidas tras ponerlos a prueba. Por lo tanto, esta monografía resulta de gran utilidad a realizadores audiovisuales que traten de explotar al máximo el potencial del lenguaje cinematográfico. Las herramientas prácticas de esta investigación fueron aplicadas en el primer capítulo de la serie de televisión Muerte Súbita, obra audiovisual en donde se hizo uso del plano secuencia.
