Diseño de un sistema de sketchbooks con base en el estudio iconográfico de la cerámica inca

Abstract

The purpose of this project is the analysis of the iconography of the Inca culture referring to the production and decoration of its ceramics for the design of the covers of the sketchbooks due to the fragments decorated with various typical forms of aryballos, plates and other generated forms. In the Inca phase, once the pieces were chosen, observation sheets were created to catalog and obtain research on the various ceramics that the Incas manufactured. The observation sheet is made up of the following form, location, chronology, technique and reason which allows us to obtain more accurate information about the different pieces, therefore the analysis sheet was prepared and contains the following elements of information: sheet number, name of the piece, the relevant stroke of the object and identify the iconography that is intended to know the shape, feature and similarity as they were designed to be able to apply it on sketchbook covers. According to the chosen iconographies, he proceeded to design the sketchbook covers based on the most representative figures of Inca ceramics, which were focused on the icons and geometric symbols that have various levels of application the design. It is concluded that ancestral iconography has great richness that helps the cultural sphere and in this way, it is possible to rescue the identity of the people of Ecuador. It is recommended to stimulate this type of projects to preserve identity and even more so with the help of graphic design, since this profession has no limits.
