dc.descriptionEn la ciudad de Cuenca, muchas de las transformaciones que se han presentado a lo largo de la historia en el espacio urbano, han pasado desapercibidas y no se ha realizado un análisis sobre el trasfondo de las mismas. La principal causa de estos cambios son las luchas que se dan en el contexto social, económico y político que atraviesa la urbe, y que se ven reflejados en su arquitectura. El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como finalidad, estudiar los cambios producidos en el Parque Calderón de Cuenca y las edificaciones a su alrededor, ocupando la arquitectura como un medio para entender los procesos de transformación que vivió la ciudad en el período de 1870 hasta 1960, y así contribuir con la reconstrucción de la historia urbana de la capital azuaya.es_ES
dc.description.abstractIn Cuenca, many of the transformations that have been presented in the urban space throughout its history have gone unnoticed and no analysis has been carried out on the background of the same. The causes of most of these changes are the struggles that take place in the social, economic and political contexts that crosses the city, and that is reflected in its architecture. The following work has the purpose of studying the changes produced in the Parque Calderón of Cuenca and the buildings around it, considering architecture as a means to understand the processes of transformation that the city lived in the period from 1870 to 1960, 5 and thus contribute to the reconstruction of the urban history of the capital of the province of Azuay.es_ES
