Intertextualidad, triángulo edípico y personaje infantil en la novela Elogio de la madrastra (1988) de Mario Vargas Llosa

Abstract

This research project aims to analyze the novel Elogio de la madrastra (1988), by Mario Vargas Llosa, from methodical hermeneutics, to interpret the discursive elements of literature/painting intertextuality, oedipal triangle and child character. For the conceptual framework, we took, on the one hand, the intertextuality of Julia Kristeva in her work Semiótica 1 (1978, 1981), the paratext of Gérad Genette and his work Palimpsestos. La literatura en segundo grado (1982, 1989). Then, for the oedipal triangle we turn to Sigmund Freud with his works Los sueños de la muerte de personas queridas (1900), La novela familiar de los neuróticos (1906, 1908) y El sepultamiento del complejo de Edipo (1923, 1925). Lastly, the child character with Pierre Grimal in his book Diccionario de psicoanálisis (1951, 1989), JeanJacques Rousseau in his work Emilio o la Educación (1762, 2000). The interpretation of the

is inscribed under the method of Paul Ricoeur and his book Tiempo y narración I. Configuración del tiempo en el relato histórico (1985, 2004). From the analysis, it was found that Vargas Llosa transcends the figure of the child character, using polarity, in the child's personality; from being an innocent, tender and kind infant, to becoming a rebellious child who subverts the order.
