Plan médico funcional del Centro De Especialidades Médicas (CEM) de la Universidad de Cuenca, Cuenca 2022-2023

Abstract

Background: After the worldwide state of health emergency due to Covid-19, a restriction was generated to the establishments of the National Health System, affecting the pre-professional practices of the University of Cuenca, for this reason, an emerging project was created as a pilot plan, the Center for Medical Specialties, under the administration of the university health company EP EUS-EP in coordination with the Medical direction assigned by the University, the establishment currently remains in the process of continuous growth and integration; In order to address the health demand, the CEM is projected to a higher complexity establishment, a Day Hospital, so in order to fulfil with the provision of services with the current regulations according to its typology, a PMF model adapted for it is proposed. General objective: To develop the Medical Functional Plan of the Medical Specialties Center (MEC) of the University of Cuenca. Methodology: This is a quantitative, descriptive-cross-sectional study. Observation will be used, with documentary compilation, physical inspection, interview guides, content sheets, PMF ministerial format and photographic records. Expected results: taking as a guide the ministerial format of the PMF of hospital typology, it is intended to develop and propose a PMF adapted to the CEM of the University of Cuenca, such adaptations will be based on the typology that we intend to achieve, second level of care, third level of complexity, with the capacity of surgical resolutions with ambulatory character.
