dc.descriptionLa presente investigación se realizó con la participación de niños y niñas de entre 7 a 11 años, estudiantes de la escuela Héctor Sempertegui de la ciudad de Cuenca. El propósito del estudio fue identificar la discriminación racial de la niñez media. La investigación desarrollada se ubica dentro del paradigma mixto cualitativo-cuantitativo, el mismo que se ejecutó con los niños y niñas que sus representantes legales autorizaron. Se empleó como instrumento de investigación una entrevista estructurada, precautelando la identidad de los niños, validada en otras investigaciones, su aplicación tuvo como objetivo recolectar información necesaria para cumplir con los objetivos planteados, la información obtenida fue transcrita y analizada con ayuda del programa Excel 2007. Los resultados más relevantes señalan que existe un alto índice de preferencia racial con menos estereotipos y prejuicios hacia el muñeco de color blanco mientras que al muñeco de color negro le asignan más prejuicios y estereotipos.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThis research was conducted with the participation of boys and girls aged 7-11 years. They are students from the Hector Sempertegui School in the city of Cuenca. The purpose of the study was to identify racial discrimination in children of these ages. The research carried out is within the mixed qualitative-quantitative paradigm and was carried out with the authorization of their legal representatives. As a research tool, a structured interview was used, while safeguarding the identity of children, as validated in other research. Its application aimed to collect information necessary to meet the objectives. The information obtained was transcribed and analyzed using the Excel 2007 program. The most significant results point to a high level of racial preference, with less stereotypes and prejudices towards the white doll, while the black color allocated more prejudices and stereotypes.es_ES
