Abstract
In a world steeped in literature and music, Cerati's works allow us to appreciate the dialogues between the two. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze Cerati's song lyrics and their literary, intertextual, and literary device relationships throughout his career as the leader of Soda Stereo and as a solo artist. In this way, it is demonstrated how the singer, through his music, keeps Latin America's literary tradition alive, bringing it to the masses. For the preparation of this article, a qualitative textual analysis methodology based on the theories of Barthes, Kristeva, and Genette was used. Furthermore, the compilation of articles, theses, interviews, and other material allowed for a visualization of the scarce background material on this topic. Finally, the conclusions show how Cerati visualizes literature and transforms it into lyrics, which are replete with intertextuality.
Resumen
En un mundo cargado de literatura y música, las obras de Cerati permiten apreciar los diálogos existentes entre ambas. Por ello, el objetivo de este estudio es analizar las letras de las canciones de Cerati y sus relaciones literaria, intertextuales y recursos literarios en su trayecto de líder de Soda Stereo y solista. De esta manera, se demuestra cómo el cantante a través de la música mantiene viva la tradición literaria de Latinoamérica llevándola a las masas. Para la elaboración del presente se recurrió al uso de una metodología de análisis textual con enfoque cualitativo basada en la teoría de Barthes, Kristeva y Genette. Además, la recopilación de artículos, tesis, entrevistas, etc., permitieron visualizar el escaso material de antecedentes que este tema presenta. Finalmente, dentro de las conclusiones, se evidencia como Cerati visualiza a la literatura y la transforma en letras, las cuales están repletas de intertextualidad.
