Abstract
This paper aims to analyze and evaluate the relationship between the different functions of the Ecuadorian State, making a review of the composition and attributions of each one of them. This involves the study of the performance of the checks and balances, as well as the political practices of the members of these functions, in order to critically evaluate the constitutional design established in the Ecuadorian Constitution of 2008, ten years after its validity.
Resumen
Este trabajo pretende analizar y evaluar la relación entre las diferentes funciones del Estado ecuatoriano, realizando una revisión de la composición y atribuciones, de cada una de ellas. Eso implica el estudio del funcionamiento de los frenos y contrapesos, así como las prácticas políticas de los miembros de estas funciones, con el fin de lograr valorar críticamente el diseño constitucional consagrado en la Constitución ecuatoriana del 2008, a diez años de su vigencia.
