Diagnóstico comunitario: conociendo los problemas de la comunidad de Quisquis, del cantón Azogues, provincia del Cañar, en el 2020.

Abstract

The following paper will show the results of an applied research, in which the object of study were 50 families from the community of Quisquis, belonging to the suburbs of the city of Azogues. A community diagnosis was applied; the study was made in other to identify their needs and problems, and at the same time make proposals for their benefit. The study also analyzed the role played by the Social Worker during this process. The information collected was obtained from various techniques like participating, observation, home visit, diagnosis, and community cards. This information allows to interact, investigate and to know the current reality of the mentioned community. The most relevant results obtained from this research were the needs that were felt the most by the population. It considered that the causes of their problems were related to the deficiency in basic services, like the lack of social projects, lack of maintenance on primary access routes and the deterioration of the infrastructure of the community, among others. Therefore; on the basis of this information, lines of action were established for the decentralized autonomous government of the Municipality of Azogues in order to contribute to the development and organization of the community for a social transformation that leads to a dignified life.
