dc.descriptionEl presente artículo académico tiene como objetivo principal analizar la relación que existe entre la inflación y brecha del producto en el Ecuador en dos periodos, antes y después de la dolarización, usando el método generalizado de momentos (GMM en inglés), mediantes distintas especificaciones de la Curva de Phillips. En este análisis se incluyeron, además, variables explicativas como: inflación adelantada, inflaciones rezagas, el logaritmo del índice del tipo de cambio real y del índice del salario real. Además de ello, se realizó un análisis de cointegración mediante el modelo autorregresivo con retardos distribuidos (ARDL). Los resultados evidenciaron que en un régimen de dolarización, la Curva de Phillips es más elástica que en el periodo anterior. Respecto al largo plazo, la variable que mejor explica el comportamiento de la inflación es el índice de tipo de cambio reales_ES
dc.description.abstractThis academic paper has the objective of analyzing the relationship between inflation and the output GAP in Ecuador in two periods: before and after dollarization, using the generalized method of moments estimation (GMM), through different specifications of the Phillips Curve. In this analysis, the explanatory variables were also included, such as: foretold inflation, inflation lags, the logarithm of the real exchange rate index and the real wage index. In addition, a cointegration analysis was carried out using the autoregressive distributed lag model (ARDL). The results showed that in a dollarization regime, the Phillips Curve is more elastic than in the previous period. In the long run, the variable that best explains the behavior of inflation is the real exchange rate indexes_ES
