Abstract
The present work consists of proposing a design for an Architectural Draft Project of a Municipal Cemetery for the canton Biblián, which meets the burial needs of the population, in agreement with the Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado de Biblián (GADB) and the University of Cuenca.
As a first point, a general theoretical analysis of the history of funerary architecture, its operation and characteristics, in addition to the funerary rites in the Andean World, Ecuador and Cañar is carried out. The cemetery is taken into account not only as an architectural element, but also a landscape and urban one. Subsequently, the implantation of the cemetery is resolved, for this the conditions, regulations, programs and architectural elements are reviewed, and the site is selected with a multicriteria analysis, taking into account statistical data of birth and mortality for the predimensioning.
In order to obtain intervention criteria, an analysis of the current situation of the cemetery and two related case studies are carried out, with a specific methodology that defines the study area. Finally, a proposal is designed that meets the needs of the population, and also adds visual, landscape and connectivity criteria
Resumen
del Cementerio Municipal para el cantón Biblián, que cubra las necesidades de inhumación actuales y futuras de la población, por convenio entre el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado de Biblián (GADB) y la Universidad de Cuenca.
Como primer punto se realiza un análisis teórico general de la historia de la arquitectura funeraria, su funcionamiento y características, además de los ritos funerarios en el Mundo Andino, Ecuador y Cañar. Se toma en cuenta el cementerio no solo como un elemento arquitectónico, sino también paisajístico y urbano. Posteriormente, se resuelve la implantación del cementerio, para esto se revisan las condicionantes, normativas, programas y elementos arquitectónicos y se selecciona el sitio mediante un estudio multicriterio, normativas vigentes, PDOT, datos estadísticos de natalidad y mortalidad para el predimensionamiento.
Para obtener criterios de intervención se realiza el análisis de la situación actual del cementerio y dos casos de estudio afines, con una metodología específica que delimita el área de estudio. Finalmente, se diseña una propuesta que resuelva las necesidades de la población y, además, agrega criterios visuales, de paisaje y conectividad.
