Abstract
Since the study of the romantic hero of Rafael Argullol, the author establishes a relationship between the heroic romanticism from XVIII and XIX centuries and the Ecuadorian poetry from XX century. The Ecuadorian poetry of XX century opens with the Modernist movement that allows some continuity in themes and forms until the vanguards influence when the poem is considered as and art object instead of what the romantics believed, a result of inspiration. Lyrical voices studied as representatives from the first part of century are Medardo Ángel Silva, César Dávila Andrade and David Ledesma Vásquez. The lyrical voices from the second part of the century are Efraín Jara Idrovo and Ernesto Carrión Castro. With these considerations the author determines the existence heroic romanticism outbreaks in the lyrical voices of Ecuadorian poetry due XX century.
Resumen
A partir del estudio sobre el héroe romántico de Rafael Argullol, la autora establece la relación del romanticismo heroico de los siglos XVIII y XIX con la poesía ecuatoriana del siglo XX. Primeramente, analiza las características del héroe romántico y los principales arquetipos que estudia Rafael Argullol en su obra El héroe y el único. A partir de esta teorización estudia los héroes líricos de la poesía ecuatoriana en la primera mitad del siglo XX, antes del influjo de las vanguardias según la cual se considerará el poema como un objeto de arte y no como el simple resultado de la inspiración, tal como lo consideraban los poetas románticos. Entre estas voces líricas estudia a los héroes de Medardo Ángel Silva, César Dávila Andrade y David Ledesma Vázquez. Continúa su estudio con el análisis de dos voces líricas posteriores a la vanguardia ecuatoriana que son Efraín Jara Idrovo y Ernesto Carrión Castro. Con estas consideraciones determina la existencia de rebrotes del héroe romántico entre las voces líricas de la poesía ecuatoriana a lo largo del siglo XX.
