Conocimientos sobre estimulación del lenguaje oral, de los promotores comunitarios de los centros infantiles, urbano-marginales de Cuenca, 2011

Abstract

Objective: To determine the knowledge about Oral Language Stimulation of community workers, who work in poor urban children´s centers in Cuenca city, 2011. Method and Materials: This study is descriptive and quantitative and the information will be gathered through precaps and poscaps. The final sample was of one hundred twenty community promoters who fulfilled with the inclusion criteria. Structured interview was used to apply a questionnaire consisting of socio-demographic variables, as well as questions of knowledge, skills and practices related to Oral Language Stimulation. The results had a statistic analysis in SPSS fifteen Evaluation Version. Results: The results obtained were the followings: the community promoter postcaps improved their knowledge of Early Stimulation from 90.8% to 93, 4%, in knowledge of oral Language from 83.3% to 98.3%, in the evolutionary development from 37.5% to 84.2%. In addition, the highest percentage of assistants from 59.2% is between women from twenty-one to thirty years old to 96.7%. With secondary students 35%, and married people 39.2%. Conclusions: The precaps provided data that allowed us to elaborate the training work-shops on the Oral Language Stimulation in order to improve the skills that were satisfactory finished.
