Hacia un estilo estético en la arquitectura: la reticencia

Abstract

This work proposes to explore the possibilities of an aesthetic style in architecture that exceeds the concepts of aesthetics restricted to the visual that in the West have become the only search for proposing beauty or its negation. It is about rediscovering the philosophical origin of aesthetics whose essence is shown as sensitive perception through the five physical senses. To achieve such a proposal, the research refers to the position of the East known as the Tao and its four thresholds of artistic creation. Among which the reluctance is the western counterpart of philosophy and involves the induction of aesthetic truth in the user or observer of the architectural work. It is proposed to awaken in him, the cognitive curiosity by means of a reticent detail that when impressing him allow him to take full attention and find the truth contained in that event happened. It is also proposed that the artistic or architectural work is relevant and transcendent. This perception of architecture, moreover, separates it from the current condition of design that hovers formalism, function and technology, as creative supports of creation, and whose material expression is in question. Thus recognized the reluctance, is linked to the apprehension of philosophical truth, through what the author calls the Conscious Energy Architecture, understood as the fusion of architecture with alternative healing and feng shui. Finally, a design model is drawn whose transversal axis is reluctant induction. Finally, 14 rules of architectural creation that allow characterizing the proposed style are promoted.
