Impacto de las unidades económicas populares en la generación de empleo en el cantón Sigsig, con información primaria

Abstract

The investigation, evaluates the impact that the Economic Popular Units (UEP) have in the employment generation for the canton Sígsig, especially for legalized associations. To measure if the practice of the Popular and Solidary Economy, it has allowed or not to improve the economic, social conditions, labor of each individual. And to verify, if this practices have fomented the generation and employment access. The techniques for the estimate of the impact of the UEP in the employment generation, it is carried out by means of the application of two probabilistic models, an ordinal Logit and an ordinal Probit. In the mensuration of the effects for each level (Level 2=it did no change and Level 3=it improved), it was used fourteen extracted variables of the previously elaborated questionnaire. It was observed that the individuals that develop the activities of UEP in the canton in their majority, are women, representing 69, 13% and duplicating the males in this activities, these last so alone representing 30, 87%. The activities of more development were the enterprises, representing 50%, followed by the activity of handmade shop with 35, 65% and of trading retailer's activity with 14, 35%. As for the impact of UEP in the employment generation, it was evidenced that 23, 48% of the interviewed actors pointed out that there was not change some, while 76, 52% indicated that the impact improved the employment generation.
