dc.descriptionEl interés tanto por parte del paciente como del profesional al encontrar espacios edéntulos es buscar una rehabilitación fija que pueda devolver además de la estética, su funcionalidad oclusal, lo que puede ofrecer una mejor calidad de vida al paciente. El objetivo de este estudio es cono- cer el estado protésico de los pacientes con prótesis fija independientemente del material de la misma atendidos en la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad de Cuenca. Se consideró un universo de 293 pacientes que fueron atendidos en el periodo 2013 - 2015, se revisaron un total de 149 pacientes, 55 hombres y 94 mujeres. Los parámetros evaluados mediante un examen clínico para saber el estado de la prótesis fueron, tipo de desajuste marginal, chipping de la ce- rámica y salud periodontal.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe interest both ¡n the patient and the professional in finding edentulous spaces is to seek a fixed rehabilitation that can return, besides the aesthetic, ¡ts occlusal functionality, which can offer a better quality of life to the patient. The purpose of this study is to know the prosthetic status of patients with fixed prostheses treated at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Cuenca be- tween 2013 and 2015. We used a universe of 293 patients who were treated in the period 2013 - 2015, a total of 149 patients, 55 men and 94 women were reviewed.
