Abstract

The current model of the parish Octavio Cordero Palacios aims to provide an image of the spatial projection of the style of development of society in space terms, so that different strategies for economic, social and environmental development lead to different models spatial organization. For which it is following work is organized into four chapters: The first chapter addresses the issue of diagnosis of the physical environment with emphasis on: the relief, geomorphology, geology, soils, climate, hydrology, biota, vegetation, current and potential land use, vulnerabilities, and threats of degradation or natural order anthropic. The second chapter refers to the diagnosis of settlements where studies are addressed: historical evolution of the population, population structure and its projection, migration, education, economic activity rates and their economic structure. The third chapter focuses on the diagnosis of settlement and contains studies on populations and their attributes, the degree of consolidation and land use cores. The last chapter refers to the legal and institutional framework, in the first instance where this is on standards and regulating the use and occupation of land as well as the powers, functions and duties of the parish GAD's. To this we must add the development of the current model from the previous sector assessments based on interpretations worked. It integrated the development of diagnosis to determine the weaknesses and significant potential of the study area.
