| dc.description | El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la prevalencia del bajo peso, sobrepeso y obesidad en los niños de la Escuela Tomas Rendón del cantón Cuenca.- Material y método: Se trata de un estudio de corte transversal que permitió determinar la prevalencia de la mal nutrición en los niños/as de la Escuela Tomas Rendón del cantón Cuenca.- El universo estuvo constituido por 600 niños matriculados en el año lectivo del 2010-2011. La muestra de acuerdo con la fórmula aplicada fue de 86 niños, comprendidos entre el Segundo a Séptimo año de Educación Básica.- Técnicas e instrumentos: Las técnicas de la investigación e instrumento utilizados fueron: • La entrevista que se realizó a los padres de familia de los niños investigados.- • La técnica de medición y control antropométrico.- Los instrumentos que se utilizaron son: • Las tablas de Índice de Masa Corporal (IMC) • Las curvas de crecimiento NCHS • Formulario de encuestas sobre la condición socioeconómica.- Los datos se procesaron y analizaron mediante Microsoft Office, Word y Excel.- Los resultados demuestran que el 2.32% de niños presentan bajo peso, el 3.48% de los niños tienen sobrepeso y el 94.18% corresponde a niños con peso normal. El trabajo de investigación concluye que, en los niños/as investigados los problemas nutricionales encontrados están relacionados con las condiciones socioeconómicas, estilos de vida, hábitos nutricionales y nivel de acceso a los nutrientes, encontrándose la mayoría de los niños con estado nutricional normal, y con condiciones socioeconómicas estables.AU | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | The objective of the investigation was to determine the prevalence of the low weight, overweight and obesity in the children of the School Tomas Rendón of the cantón Cuenca.- Material and method: One is a study of cross section that allowed to determine the prevalence of the bad nutrition in children of the School Tomas Rendón of the cantón Cuenca.- The universe was constituted by 600 children registered in the school year of the 2010-2011. The sample in agreement with the applied formula was of 86 children, between the Second Seventh Basic year of Education.- Techniques and instruments: The techniques of the used investigation and instrument were: • The interview that was realized the parents of family of the investigated children. • The technique of measurement and anthropometric control. The instruments that were used are: • The tables of Index of Corporal Mass (IMC) .- The curves of growth NCHS • Form of surveys on the socioeconomic condition. The data were processed and analyzed by means of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. The results demonstrate that the 2,32% of children present/display low weight, the 3,48% of the children have overweight and the 94,18% correspond to children with normal weight.- The work of investigation concludes that, in children investigated the found nutritional problems are related to the socio-economic conditions, nutritional styles of life, habits and level of access to the nutrients, being the majority of the children with normal nutritional state, and stable socio-economic conditions.AU | es_ES |
