dc.descriptionEl objetivo de esta investigación fue, determinar la taza de transferencia congénita de Neospora caninum, en vacas seropositivas, de acuerdo a la avidez de los anticuerpos IgG. Se realizó en tres hatos lecheros de las provincias de Azuay y Cañar, de la sierra sur del Ecuador, donde se han reportado abortos y problemas reproductivos. En la cual se seleccionaron 148 vacas lecheras, gestantes en el último tercio de gestación, se determinó su estatus serológico mediante inmunoensayo enzimático ELISA indirecto, en estos animales en los cuales se identificó 40 vacas cero positivas a Neospora caninum, formaran parte del estudio. Para determinar la avidez de los anticuerpos IgG, se modificó el protocolo a cada vaca de las 40 se le realizará otra prueba ELISA, con el protocolo modificado para avidez. A la sangre de terneros se realizará 2 pruebas ELISA con el protocolo normal de afinidad y avidez. Esto permitirá conocer el efecto protector de los anticuerpos naturales en el ganado bovino lechero con alta y baja avidez frente a la transmisión vertical del parásito en las condiciones de producción de la sierra ecuatoriana.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe objective of this research was: To determine the congenital transfer rate of Neospora caninum, in seropositive cows, according to the avidity of the IgG antibodies. It was carried out in three dairy herds in the provinces of Azuay and Cañar, in the southern highlands of Ecuador, Where abortions and reproductive problems have been reported, 148 dairy cows were selected, pregnant in the last third of gestation, Their serological status was determined by indirect ELISA enzyme immunoassay, to obtain the 40 cows positive to Neospora Caninum, Which would form part of the study. To determine the avidity of the IgG antibodies, the protocol was modified to each cow of the 40 will be performed another ELISA, With the modified protocol for avidity. To the blood of calves will be carried out 2 ELISA tests with the normal protocol of affinity and avidity.
