dc.description.abstractThis article reflects the panorama of the most significant historical events concerning education happened during the 20th century in Spain. We begin for the situation at the end of the XIXth, marked by the Disaster of 98 and the irruption of reformists currents, to underline immediately some milestones during the Second Republic. Later we introduce the situation of the education in the first stage of the pro-Franco dictatorship (1939-1959), and we culminate with the impact of the Developmentalism (1959-1975), in the legislation and the social mentality.
