Abstract
The present work analyzes the incorporation and functionality of the aboriginal musicians in the institutional corpus of the Cathedral during the period between the beginnings of the Obispado and the nineteenth century. Starting from a critical study of models applied to the subject and based on the documentary that uses unpublished sources conserved in the archive of the Curia Arquidiocesana of Cuenca, an analysis of the activity of the aboriginals of the cathedral institution is realized allowing a reconstruction panoramic of the spaces of action and execution of specific practices.
Resumen
El presente trabajo analiza la incorporación y funcionalidad de los músicos indígenas en el corpus institucional de la Catedral matriz durante el período comprendido entre los inicios del Obispado y durante el siglo XIX. Partiendo de un estudio crítico de modelos aplicados al tema y sobre la base del documentario obrante que utiliza fuentes inéditas conservadas en el Archivo de la Curia Arquidiocesana de Cuenca, se realiza un análisis de la actividad de los músicos indígenas en la institución catedralicia permitiendo una reconstrucción panorámica de los espacios de actuación y ejecución de prácticas específicas.
