Abstract
The aim of this thesis is an investigation about the musical behaviors in the music of the youth groups of the Kichwa community of Arajuno, Province of Pastaza in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The thesis consists of a historical review of the Kichwa world, its ancestral and current worldview, the influence of the Western world, its identity, and interculturality reflected in its music. Therefore, this work aims to demonstrate the rituality and functionality that Kichwa youth reflects in their music
Resumen
La presente tesis tiene como objetivo una investigación sobre los comportamientos musicales en la música de las agrupaciones juveniles de la comunidad Kichwa de Arajuno, Provincia de Pastaza en la Amazonía Ecuatoriana.
La tesis se compone de una reseña histórica sobre el mundo Kichwa, su cosmovisión ancestral y actual, la influencia del mundo occidental, su identidad, e interculturalidad reflejada en su música. Por lo cual el presente trabajo pretende demostrar la ritualidad y funcionalidad que la juventud Kichwa refleja en su música
