Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is about the analysis of eroticism and symbolic elements in the Ecuadorian novel “El Deseoquellevatunombre” by Carlos Carrion. Moreover, this research will establish a study about the background and influences in the erotic novel where the ardor and sensuality are present throughout the novel.At the same time we will have a psychological analysis of the characters around different erotic manifestations, language and symbols. On the other hand, we focus on the issue of women and men, in the way Carrión described in his novel and what role each of them play on the issue of eroticism.Machismo as the main focus in this society, which leads and governs both men and women. Rebellion is also a young teenager against the evils of society and sexual liberation, which in turn is translated as an ambivalence: fascination and repulsion, fear and worship.
