Planteamiento del lechuguín para la elaboración de un prototipo de aislante térmico y su aplicación en la construcción sostenible

Abstract

This document will meticulously detail the approach process to a thermal insulation prototype made from the plant fiber Eichhornia crassipes, commonly known as water hyacinth. Additionally, its contribution to sustainable construction and its use in local architecture will be studied. To this end, a rigorous analysis under a quantitative approach will be conducted, seeking to obtain numerical data on the insulating properties of this plant fiber, which, combined with an elastomeric binder, will enhance its resistance. These data will be obtained through laboratory studies and tests on specimens before arriving at the final derivation. Then, a strict review of the proposals will be carried out to make the definitive choice of the board and select the appropriate design for subsequent manufacturing. Finally, the results obtained will certify whether the use of the board is feasible or not in Ecuador.
