Memorias vivas de los huasipungueros de la parroquia Tarqui del cantón Cuenca

Abstract

In the present investigation Tarqui, which is the studied parish, will be detailed from historic facts which have occurred so far. They will also be detailed the geographic characteristics that makes Tarqui unique. These features help in the study of the historical and geographical context of the characters, their semblances, their costumes, and their traditions.

The research is focused in an ethnographic way, where the "Memorias vivas de los Ex–huasipungueros de la parroquia de Tarqui” were studied and analyzed. Despite of people eldering, they have kept the memories, some of them more pleasant than others. Many facts and stories allow us to understand their origins, their characteristics, their way to work, their huasipungo system, their organization, among other features.

The researching was conducted using ethnographic methods of collection and analysis of data. In addition, information recording techniques were used such as: interviews. On the other hand, the photographic record of each of the interviewees. Also it is important the use of many bibliographic sources like books, reports, minutes, magazines, electronic books, and different web pages, which have served as reference for the development of the present investigation.
