Factores de riesgo ergonómico en el personal que labora en calzado, Gualaceo, 2018

Abstract

Introduction: the growth of the footwear industry, the use of machinery in recent years has generated both benefits and conditions in the health field. The high hourly loads, forced postures, repetitive, handling of heavy loads among others are translated into risks for the worker of the footwear industry that affect their health and profitability of the company (1). General objective: identify the ergonomic risk factors of the personnel that works in footwear in the canton of Gualaceo, 2018.

Methodology: quantitative descriptive observational study, carried out with a universe of 300 workers and sample of 162, in three factories of the Gualaceo canton, after signing the informed consent form, the ERGOPAR questionnaire was applied, the analysis of the information was carried out in the SPSS program 23, and the results were expressed in frequency and percentage tables.

Results: the ergonomic risk factors found were: remaining in a sitting position (52.5%), using impact or vibrating machines (38.9%), holding or lifting objects with fingers in the shape of a pincer (40.1% ), tilt the back (59.9%) and the neck forward (46.9%), the same ones that were more frequent in the employees with experience of 1 to 5 years, in the male gender and with ages between 31 to 50 years.

Conclusion: the ergonomic risk factors of footwear workers were the adoption of incorrect postures for long periods
