Abstract
This thesis proposes the interior redesign of the Salamea Bravo residence into a tourist accommodation of the Airbnb type, located in the historic center of Cuenca, Ecuador. The main objective of the proposal is to create a functional space with adequate services for tourists and guests, through various interventions that respect and preserve the heritage value of the house. This research addresses several fundamental aspects such as acoustic, thermal, and lighting comfort, materiality, furniture, color scheme, ergonomics, among others. Through the survey and analysis of the current condition of the residence, along with the conceptual development and the design proposal represented through technical drawings and 3D visualization, specific and effective solutions were achieved. This redesign aims to highlight the importance of interior design in tourist accommodation spaces within heritage buildings, maintaining a balanced integration between historical value and contemporary design.
Resumen
La presente tesis plantea el rediseño interior de la vivienda Salamea Bravo a un destino turístico tipo Airbnb, en el centro histórico de Cuenca, Ecuador. La propuesta tiene como principal objetivo crear un espacio funcional y con servicios adecuados para turistas y huéspedes. Mediante distintas modificaciones manteniendo la importancia patrimonial de la vivienda. En esta investigación se abordan varios aspectos fundamentales como el confort acústico, térmico y lumínico, la materialidad, el mobiliario, cromática, ergonomía, etc. Mediante el levantamiento y análisis del estado actual de la vivienda, la conceptualización, propuesta de diseño en representación técnica y 3D, se permitió dar soluciones puntuales. Con este rediseño se busca dar a conocer la importancia del diseño en espacios turísticos de alojamiento en viviendas patrimoniales, manteniendo un equilibrio entre lo histórico y lo nuevo.
