La ilustración como herramienta para el rescate y difusión de los cuentos populares

Abstract

This work seeks to recover and disseminate the folk tales of the province of Azuay, with the realization of a prototype of a tale illustrated with the watercolor technique and digitally diagrammed for later printing. This constitutes an artistic contribution for the cultural rescue through illustration as a powerful tool capable of awakening the interest to know and revalue the folktales and thus prevent their disappearance. In the creation of the characters and scenarios the clothing, landscapes and typical and characteristic elements of the province of Azuay are represent, thus achieving to contextualize and revive the essence of the story's narration and evoke the era to which it belongs.
