El enfoque de género en las políticas del Plan Nacional de Movilidad Humana Ecuador 2018. Impacto en la migración venezolana ante la emergencia socio-sanitaria por COVID-19

Abstract

The response of the Ecuadorian government to the increased flow of migration from Venezuela will be reconsidered from a gender perspective and a human rights perspective, taking into account the abrupt socio-sanitary situation caused by the COVID 19 pandemic, and the impact that it has had on immigrants in the city of Cuenca. Based on the public policies issued in 2018 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility, this research seeks to give a real and seated look at how efficient the current regulations are at the time of coping with the current situation, distinguishing at all times the disparity of conditions that may arise between men and women, accentuating their possible causes and effects, in order to finally provide a perspective that integrates the gender category in a transversal way. The public policies of a country must aim to improve the quality of life of its citizens, administer and allocate the necessary resources to generate conditions of well-being and comfort in society, eliminate inequality gaps and balance the possibilities of both, men and women, to access decent conditions for their development and that of their sons or daughters.
