Influencia de la violencia escolar en el primer rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Miguel Merchán Ochoa,Cuenca – 2016

Abstract

Backgrounds: Violence is a situation present in our enviroment; in the school may have negative aftermath for the students, that are an specially vulnerable group and that have produce negative incidences, like difficulty learning and school leavers. General Objetive: This research allowed to determine the influence of school violence in academic performance of the students of highschool of “Unidad Educativa Miguel Merchan Ochoa”. Methodology: It took out a descriptive study, the sampling frame was 250 students from the Unidad Educativa Miguel Merchan Ochoa that were in highschool. As a technique it was used the interview and document review; and as an instrument the "Questionnaire Assessment about Violence and Primary School Children " (CEVEIP). The information was processed by the following programs: excel, word, SPSS V20; the results were presented in simple tablets with frecuency, with there respective percentages statistical analysis. Results: In this research it was determined that the increased frequency of school violence is 1 to 2 times per week, with the prevalence for viewers violence of 44.9% to 25.5% victims of violence, abusers 28, 8%. The 53.2% of students reported violence few times. Conclusions: The observation of violence and being victim of school violence does not affect school performance in this study. Students who have used violence always and often have lower grades. The students that has the highest average do not report violence or its use few times
