Abstract

The Interior Design must be functional for the greatest number of people, accepting the physical or mental differences, in this way it works as a key tool for the inclusion and spatial integration, being this an aspect of utmost importance at present. Within this context, this research work is based on the inclusion and autonomy of people with visual disabilities, taking as a case study the single-family home of Mr. Cristian Guallpa, in which two of the family members have visual impairment acquired. Taking into account these considerations, the project starts from the spatial analysis of the home of the client, identifying the problems and needs in physical aspects such as: materiality, circulation, accessibility and furniture; After that, the redesign of the interior and exterior spaces of the home is proposed, applying criteria of accessibility, functionality and adaptability, as well as technological and sensory aspects applied in inclusive areas, with the aim of creating a home without architectural barriers and this mode defines the autonomy of people with or without disabilities.
