Abstract
San Juan del Cid is a parish of the canton Gualaceo that stands out for being
one of the oldest in the country, has a rich heritage and cultural values that stand
out from others, on the other hand, it is important the need to strengthen the
anthropogenic activities of the inhabitants, that is, agricultural activities,
environmental, craft, cultural, etc., in order to generate a social, economic and
cultural development that benefits the current and future population by proposing
spaces where people can learn and share knowledge about the sustainable
management of natural resources, environmental and productive agro-ecological
improvement, agricultural improvement and above all the dissemination of tangible
and intangible cultural heritage existing in the parish.
The Parish Government of San Juan del Cid requires a project to strengthen the
aforementioned activities so that the population and the different organizations
within the parish can manage, plan and train in cultural, social and artisan activities.
The San Juan del Cid Rural Interpretation Center responds to this request by
generating a building with the necessary spaces for the inhabitants to carry out
educational activities, exhibitions, commerce and field work such as sowing; the
design of this Center is based on different analyses carried out within the parish so
that it integrates into the site and does not alter the built context or the natural
environment. The objective of this facility is to enhance the patrimonial, agricultural
and cultural values of the San Juan del Cid parish and to generate social, economic
and cultural development for the parish.
Resumen
San Juan del Cid es una parroquia del cantón Gualaceo que se destaca por ser
una de las más antiguas del país, posee una gran riqueza patrimonial y valores
culturales que destacan frente a otros, por otro lado, es importante la necesidad de
fortalecer las actividades antropogénicas de los habitantes, es decir, actividades
agrícolas, ambientales, artesanales, culturales, etc., con el fin de generar un
desarrollo social, económico y cultural que beneficie a la población actual y futura
proponiendo espacios donde las personas puedan aprender y compartir
conocimientos sobre el manejo sostenible de los recursos naturales, el
mejoramiento ambiental y productivo agroecológico, mejoramiento agropecuario y
sobre todo la difusión del patrimonio cultural tangible e intangible existente en la
parroquia,
El Gad Parroquial de San Juan del Cid requiere un proyecto con el cuál se
potencien las actividades antes mencionadas con la finalidad de que la población
y las distintas organizaciones dentro de la parroquia gestionen, planifiquen y se
capaciten en actividades culturales, sociales y artesanales.
El Centro de Interpretación Rural de San Juan del Cid responde a dicha solicitud
generando una edificación con los espacios necesarios para que los habitantes se
desenvuelvan en actividades de educación, exposición, comercio y trabajo de
campo como sembríos; el diseño de este Centro está basado en diferentes análisis
realizados dentro de la parroquia con el fin de que este se integre en el sitio y no
altere el contexto construido ni el entorno natural. El objetivo de este equipamiento
es potenciar los valores patrimoniales, agrícolas y culturales que posee la parroquia
San Juan del Cid y generar un desarrollo social, económico y cultural para la
parroquia.
