dc.descriptionLos estudios cuantitativos de corte transversal ejecutados en centros geriátricos se han focalizado en el adulto mayor, y omiten el reconocimiento del bienestar psicológico de su personal de salud. Por esa razón, al ser la salud mental un pilar para el bienestar integral se requiere de gran atención e investigación en el personal sanitario que, tras la ardua tarea de luchar contra el COVID-19, han experimentado agotamientos físicos y psicológicos. El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la relación entre los niveles de ansiedad y la intolerancia a la incertidumbre en el personal sanitario del CAAM del IESS de Cuenca y del CRIE de Azogues. Para este fin, se trabajó desde un enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental con alcance correlacional y corte transversal. Los instrumentos utilizados corresponden a la ficha sociodemográfica elaborada por los miembros del estudio; la Escala de Intolerancia a la Incertidumbre (EII) orientada a medir un dominio específico de la ansiedad; y el Inventario de Ansiedad de Beck (BAI) que permitió medir los niveles de ansiedad. La población estuvo constituida por 32 personas de ambas instituciones. El análisis de datos se llevó a cabo mediante el software SPSS, además, se empleó estadísticos descriptivos para señalar las características más relevantes de la población y el coeficiente rho de Spearman para determinar la relación entre las variables. Los resultados obtenidos demostraron que existe una relación directamente proporcional entre la intolerancia a la incertidumbre y los niveles de ansiedad.en_US
dc.description.abstractQuantitative cross-sectional studies carried out in geriatric centers have focused on older adults and omit the recognition of the psychological well-being of their health personnel. For this reason, mental health being a pillar for integral wellbeing requires great attention and research on health personnel who, after the arduous task of fighting COVID- 19, have experienced physical and psychological exhaustion. The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between the levels of anxiety and intolerance in the health personnel of the CAMM of the IESS of Cuenca and the CRIE of Azogues. For this purpose, we worked from a quantitative, non-experimental approach with correlational and cross- sectional scope. The instruments used corresponded to the sociodemographic card elaborated by the members of the study, the Intolerance to Uncertainty Scale (EII) oriented to measure a specific domain of anxiety and the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) that allowed measuring anxiety levels. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS software, and descriptive statistics were used to indicate the most relevant characteristics of the population and Spearman's coefficient to determine the relationship between variables. The results obtained showed that there is a directly proportional relationship between intolerance to uncertainty and anxiety levels.en_US
