Gestión de residuos en la construcción: plan de gestión de residuos generados en construcciones de vivienda multifamiliar en el Ecuador

Abstract

In Ecuador and the world, one of the most developed productive sectors is construction, particularly in the case of Ecuador, on average 10% of GDP is spoken between 2013 and 2014, being the period of greatest growth in the sector, consequently contributes to the generation of employment sources, showing itself as one of the pillars of the national economy; however, in turn, the processes of this activity, cause a serious problem, which directly affects the society in general: the generation of waste and its final disposal. Currently there is no control that allows management at each stage of construction. Those involved directly and indirectly do not coordinate actions to solve the problem, there are no regulations or guidelines which hinders the integral management and does not allow to guarantee an adequate and sustainable final disposition.

This research is carried out by proposing several cases of studies in which the problem is evidenced, a qualitative and quantitative study had been developed that first identifies the main actors or involved, it differentiates itself, each stage in the construction process and characterizes the residues that are generated. The main objective is the establishment of control lines and in situ management of the waste and its final disposal, all this reflected in a waste management plan that guarantees its final sustainable disposal.
