Abstract
Cañar is one of the seven cantons that make up the province with the same name, this canton has several tourist attractions, both natural and cultural, especially the emblematic site of the Ingapirca Archaeological Complex; in turn, in this canton is the Sangay National Park, South Zone, which is part of the National System of Protected Areas of Ecuador, where natural and archaeological resources are located, which can be developed for tourism, as is the case of the Laguna de Culebrillas area, considered a mythological place, where ceremonies are held in adoration of the sun and the moon.
This study aims to propose hiking trails and camping areas in the Laguna de Culebrillas area, with the intention of expanding the tourist offer of the place. These adventure and nature tourism activities have been selected, considering that the site presents the appropriate characteristics to implement these actions, which seek to raise awareness in visitors for conservation and protection of the area.
Resumen
Cañar es uno de los siete cantones que conforman la provincia del mismo nombre, este cantón cuenta con varios atractivos turísticos, tanto naturales como culturales, teniendo como lugar emblemático El Complejo Arqueológico Ingapirca; a su vez, parte del cantón Cañar se encuentra asentado en una área protegida, dentro de este lugar se puede apreciar diferentes recursos naturales y arqueológicos que podrían ser desarrollados turísticamente, como es el caso del sector de la Laguna Culebrillas, perteneciente al Parque Nacional Sangay, Zona Sur, el mismo que es considerado un lugar mitológico, donde se realizan ceremonias en adoración al sol y la luna.
El presente trabajo de titulación tiene como objetivo proponer rutas de senderismo y áreas para acampar en la zona de la Laguna de Culebrillas, cantón Cañar, provincia del Cañar, con la intención de diversificar la oferta turística del lugar. Se ha seleccionado estas actividades de turismo de aventura, tomando en cuenta que el lugar presenta las características adecuadas para poder implementar estas acciones, las mismas que buscan la conservación y protección de la zona.
