La figura humana en el arte: anamorfismo y deformaciones

Abstract

The project exposed in the following pages explores in a straightforward manner the anamorphic technique within the artistic production and how it underlines the visual experience that the human figure and its deformities casts. It means and it contemplates the idea of an encounter with an alternative reality that represents a dual world, where beauty is not strictly accepted by the social convention, but is an identity construction of an apparent minority. The artwork production itself is a portrait of the actual society and its low deference towards people with unusual features in its physical appearance that relegates them from the community they belong to, besides a social and psychological evaluation of multiple inherent factors to the context where the individuals inhabit.
