Estilos de crianza de las abuelas que cuidan a sus nietos hijos de migrantes

Abstract

This research has used a mixed style with a descriptive opportunity to know different parenting styles, limitations and hierarchy used by grandmothers in the family system. The study population, 20 grandmothers with their grandchildren with six and seven years old.On the theme "Parenting Styles of grandmothers who take care of migrants grandchildren" of Sor Maria Alvarado School from Chordeleg canton and parish, Azuay province. We used two instruments: The Questionnaire "socio educational of habits and behavioral tendencies in families with preschoolers by Susana Torío (2008), and the semi - structured by MazónOrdoñez (2014). It is to analyze limits and hierarchy in the context of family. The results indicate that 100% of grandmothers adopted educational practices that correspond to a democratic style of parenting. The marital subsystem has uncertain limitations. The parent-child and fraternal subsystems indicate flexible boundaries. The hierarchy, the grandparents have followed grandmothers and the minority of parents who are away from home.
